Written by Welcome to the Glasgow Photo Club Website. We typically meet on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm at the Mary Wood Weldon Library ( check the calendar). So, if you have a new camera or have a friend that has been wanting to learn more about photography, come join us.
September Meeting
This month we will feature Spillman photography. We are always excited to have professional photographers to show us how they create their photographs. They will be at the Mary Wood Weldon Library September 8 at 6:30. Look them up at www.spillmanphotography.com.
2011 Schedule
April 14 intro to photo club and photography. We will discuss information that will help you use your camera more creatively such as exposure, framing your subject, composition, and getting comfortable with manual settings.
May 12 Introduction to post editing and how to make your photos look better. We will use photoshop software.
June 9 Wes Davis, a professional photographer from Bowling Green, will show us “hands on” how to shoot with available light and pose your model. We usually meet outside as a group when the weather is nice. His website is www.wesdavisphoto.com
July 14 We will be visiting the studio of Ovada Ward here in Glasgow. This will be a real experience to get to see a professional studio. This will be interesting no matter what your level of photography is. We will meet at the Library at 6:00 and leave no later than 6:20. See you then.
August 11 Photographer, Leslie Kidd, who does beautiful work with children and people, will show her work and discuss her approach to photography. Her website is www.lesliekiddphotography.com
